What types of company can use your platform?
Basically anyone who books and sells travel. Most of our clients are travel agents/advisors, and tour operators, but eRoam is also a great product for travel media & bloggers, hoteliers, business travel, organisations, clubs and more. Right now we are working to extend our capabilities to service DMC’s and Corporate travel specialists.
How easy is it to implement?
VERY easy. Everything is cloud-based so there’s no need to install equipment or additional software. All you need to do is ensure you have your preferred API partner relationships in place and the required credentials to connect via eRoam. The only time there might be additional development work is if you require an integration to a service not included in our always expanding menu of APIs or integrations with 3rd party providers. Otherwise, we’ve designed the system to be as user-friendly and intuitive as possible so very little training is required and you’ll be able to get started very quickly.
What does the platform do?
To put it very simply, eRoam allows travel companies to quickly build itineraries and quotes from thousands of global travel suppliers, even for destinations of which you might have little to no experience of selling. Travel agents can rapidly build trips to sell to customers, add a markup of their choice, accept payment, and send out slick, professional travel documents.
How does the itinerary building process work?
It’s simple. You choose your destinations – for example Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin – pick a start date, select the number of passengers, select a budget range, tell eRoam your clients’ interests, tell us how many nights you want to spend in each city, then click, and in a matter of seconds your itinerary is generated, complete with hotels, flights and activities. Then you can change hotels if required, add or remove activities, adjust your markup, and send the quote to your clients. Once they confirm, you simply click one button and all services are confirmed automatically and vouchers & final itinerary generated by the system. It really is that simple.
It currently takes me several hours to prepare an itinerary and a quote for a client. How long does it take with eRoam?
Most likely just a few minutes; even less if you turn commonly-booked itineraries into packages. Similarly you can make and confirm amendments to itineraries in minutes using our intuitive drag and drop feature.
